The Basics
What is Bhav’s Bakes?
Bhav’s Bakes is a home-based bakery in Escondido, California, run by a single passionate baker, Bhav! I create delicious, handcrafted baked goods using high-quality ingredients, specializing in a variety of treats including cookies, cakes, pastries, and more.
What do you make?
Great question! Along with a few of the classics, I make baked goods that have a little twist to them. I am a South Asian, and I like to add a little South Asian flair to traditional bakes. It’s my way of sharing who I am with the world and opening up people to flavors they may have never tried before.
What areas do you serve?
I mainly serve San Diego county. However, there are times when I will take orders from Orange County, Chino Hills and surrounding cities, Fallbrook, and Temecula.
Ordering
How do I place an order?
You can place an order through our website by visiting the "Order " page. Select your desired items, add them to your cart, and proceed to checkout. Alternatively, you can email me to place your order directly if you have any specific requests.
Can I place an order if I don’t live near you?
You can, as long as you are ordering for someone that is near me. If you wanted to order a gift for someone nearby, that is definitely something that can be done.
How far in advance should I place my order?
The earlier you place an order, the better. That way I can block it out on my calendar.
What days do you bake for?
I bake for Monday-Friday, HOWEVER, if you need to place an order for a specific day of the week, just let me know via email or the comment section during checkout and I will work with you to figure out a delivery time.
Do You Take Last Minute Orders?
I do not accept last-minute orders. Please ensure your order is placed in a timely manner. Any last minute orders will be cancelled from my end.
I can’t find anything I like on your menu.
I’m sorry to hear that. If you send me an email, I can send you over some recommendations for some other bakeries where you may find what you are looking for. But also stay tuned to what’s happening here. I’m constantly testing things to add to my menu, and who knows, maybe one day I’ll offer something that you are looking for.

Delivery and Pickup
Do You Offer Delivery or Pickup?
Yes, I offer delivery within San Diego County. Delivery fees may apply based on the distance. You may also choose to pick up your order directly from my home bakery; however pickup days are Monday - Friday and you must select a 1 hour window between 9am and 1pm. If you need to pickup an order at a different time, let me know via email and I will work to accommodate it.
What are your pickup and delivery hours?
My pickup hours are Monday - Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM.
If you need a different pickup day and/or time, just let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.
My delivery hours are Friday 9am - 2pm.
If you need a specific delivery day and/or time, just let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.
Can I schedule a specific delivery time?
Yes, you can schedule a specific delivery time within my delivery hours. Please indicate your preferred delivery time when you place your order, and I will do my best to accommodate it.
Can you ship an order?
No, Unfortunately I do not offer shipping at this moment.
Custom Orders
Do you offer custom cakes and desserts?
Yes, I offer custom cakes and desserts, but they must follow the parameters of the menu. If it is not a custom version of what is already on the menu, I will not do it. This ensures I can maintain the highest quality and consistency in my baking. Examples of custom orders that I take are tiered-cakes with the flavors already on my menu, different flavor of frosting, special decor pieces that must be ordered in advance, etc.
What types of custom orders do you not accommodate?
I do not make sheet cakes, themed bakes, replica bakes, writing on cakes, or any type of intricate designs. My focus is on creating high-quality baked goods that adhere to the simplicity and excellence of my menu offerings.
How do I request a custom order?
To request a custom order, please email me directly. Include details such as the event date, type of dessert, flavor preferences, toppers/decor pieces, and any specific design ideas that align with my menu.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
For all orders placed on the website, I accept all major credit cards. For custom and large orders that are placed via email, I accept all major credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle. Payment is required at the time of order confirmation.
Is there a deposit required for large or custom orders?
Yes, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required for large or custom orders. The deposit must be made at the time of order confirmation. However, if you cancel within the first 36 hours, you will receive the full deposit back. After 36 hours, then I will start getting things together for your custom/large order, and the deposit will become non-refundable. This protects the business from sudden cancellations and compensates for time, effort, and money already spent. The remaining 50% must be paid before the order is completed/picked-up.
Cancellation Policy
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery time for standard orders. For custom orders, cancellations must be made one week in advance. Please email me directly for cancellations.
Do you offer refunds?
Good Question. No, I do not offer refunds. If there is an issue with your order, please email me within 24 hours of receiving your items, and I will do my best to resolve the issue.
Can I pop in and ask a question?
